MegaFon IFRS net profit rises 11.5% to 6.2 bln rbl in Apr–Jun
MOSCOW, Aug 16 (PRIME) -- The net profit of Russian mobile operator MegaFon increased 11.5% on the year to 6.154 billion rubles in April–June, as calculated under International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), the company said on Thursday in a statement.
Revenue rose 5.1% to 81.945 billion rubles. Wireless services revenue went up 4.6% to 68.317 billion rubles, including data revenue that spiked 12.7% to 24.682 billion rubles.
Operating income before depreciation and amortization (OIBDA) grew 5.4% to 32.261 billion rubles. OIBDA margin added 0.1 percentage points to 39.4%.
Capital expenditures increased 23.5% to 16.227 billion rubles. Free cash flow to shareholders rose 6.1% to 7.867 billion rubles.
The net debt was at 214.743 billion rubles as of June 30.
The number of mobile subscribers rose 0.1% to 77.5 million as of June 30.
In January–June, the net profit increased 30.2% on the year to 12.191 billion rubles. Revenue rose 3.9% to 158.404 billion rubles. Wireless services revenue grew 3.7% to 132.705 billion rubles, including data revenue that jumped 11.8% to 47.923 billion rubles.
OIBDA rose 5.3% to 62.827 billion rubles. OIBDA margin added 0.6 percentage points to 39.7%.
Capital expenditures increased 16.1% to 24.718 billion rubles.
“We reiterate our guidance for 2018 announced earlier in the year: our service revenue growth to be flat to low single digits, our OIBDA to stay flat and our capital expenditures to increase and to reach 75–80 billion rubles to comply with the data retention law,” the company said.
